Location: Baton Rouge, LA Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Compensation: $13-$17/HR BOE
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced painters to join a local renovating and repair solutions company. This is a steady, daytime opportunity for professionals who take pride in their craft and enjoy working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming before painting
- Apply paint, stain, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Ensure proper coverage and finish with attention to detail and quality standards
- Protect furniture, flooring, and fixtures with drop cloths and masking materials
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate progress and any issues to supervisors in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional painter (residential or commercial)
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods
- Ability to bend, squat, climb ladders, and move for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Preferred: candidates with their own tools (rollers, brushes, drop cloths, sprayers)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
