Express Employment is seeking a motivated and dependable Appliance Repair Technician to join a busy discount appliance store in Baton Rouge! If you enjoy troubleshooting machinery, diagnosing issues, and learning a valuable trade, this is a great opportunity to build your skills and grow into a rewarding role.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair general home appliances.
- Load and unload heavy appliances safely.
- Move and stack large units like refrigerators using a dolly or with assistance.
- Maintain a great attitude and actively learn new repair techniques.
- Follow safety standards and report directly to the shop supervisor, Elaine.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in appliance repair or technician work preferred.
- General experience working with light electrical systems is highly preferred.
- HVAC or refrigeration knowledge is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, and stand for long periods.
- Dependable, hardworking attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
Schedule & Pay:
- Schedule: Part-time | 30 to 40 hours per week | Monday through Sunday (hours vary)
- Pay Rate: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour
