Our client is a well-established HVAC supply distributor serving contractors and businesses throughout the Frederick, MD area. They pride themselves on customer service, product knowledge, and reliability. We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused HVAC Counter Sales Representative to join their team.
Job Summary:
The HVAC Counter Sales Representative will be the primary point of contact for customers at the sales counter. This individual will assist contractors and technicians with HVAC parts, equipment, and supply purchases, provide technical support, process transactions, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and respond to inquiries at the sales counter or by phone

Assist customers in identifying the correct HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies

Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs and product availability

Process orders, returns, and exchanges using the POS system

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter and showroom area

Communicate with warehouse staff regarding inventory and order fulfillment

Support outside sales staff by preparing quotes and managing customer orders

Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and new inventory

Handle cash, credit card, and account transactions accurately

Follow all safety and operational procedures
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

1–3 years of HVAC industry or counter sales experience (preferred)

Strong knowledge of HVAC products, systems, and terminology

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, POS systems, etc.)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
