Job Full Description
We are seeking a Field Calibration Technician for one of our respected clients in the Frederick County area. This role requires frequent travel to customer sites across the United States to test, calibrate, and troubleshoot various test and measurement instruments. The Calibration Technician will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards, whether working on-site or in a laboratory setting.
Primary Duties:
- Plan and execute calibration and testing procedures using established guidelines.
- Travel extensively to customer locations to perform calibration, troubleshooting, and adjustments on electrical, mechanical, pressure, torque, environmental, and dimensional instrumentation.
- Create, update, and maintain data sheets for test equipment.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure timely turnaround of calibrated equipment.
- Maintain and update equipment databases for customers and vendors.
What We Look For:
- At least two years of experience in a related field (electronics technician experience strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of electronic principles, including the ability to use schematics, diagrams, and engineering data.
- Experience with electrical, electronic, or mechanical calibration. Military PMEL, METCAL, or TMDE training is a plus.
- Must be willing and able to travel nationwide for up to one week at a time.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow within the organization.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background security check.
