Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf our client, an innovative manufacturing company located in Frederick, Maryland. Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support and maintain high-tech manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
This role is ideal for an electrician with strong industrial experience who is motivated to grow technically and professionally while working with advanced automation, control systems, and manufacturing equipment.
Position Summary
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and controls used in advanced manufacturing processes. This position plays a key role in supporting production reliability, equipment uptime, and workplace safety while working collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and equipment electrical systems
- Support safe and reliable operation of high-tech manufacturing equipment, including:
- Hydraulic presses
- Pressure vessels
- Robotics
- Conveying systems
- Perform reactive and preventive electrical maintenance to minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with production personnel and leadership regarding equipment status and repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- 480V and low-voltage AC/DC systems
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- PLCs and industrial control systems
- Assist with basic mechanical maintenance functions when required
- Operate manufacturing equipment as needed to support production
- Accurately document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities using computerized maintenance systems
- Actively support and follow all safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
OR an electrical degree with relevant hands-on experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Fluent in English (primary or secondary language)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Industrial electrical systems (480V and low voltage)
- AC and DC troubleshooting
- Variable speed/variable frequency drives (setup and programming)
- Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC and process control platforms
- Experience with instrumentation such as:
- Liquid level indicators
- Load cells
- Encoders
- Cameras
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Blueprints
- Equipment manuals
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Demonstrated logical problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively in upset conditions
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to cross-train in additional technical areas
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks safely and effectively

- Industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Work in extreme heat and cold
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules based on production needs
