POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Shipping/Receiving Associates play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our facility. Working closely with internal departments, outside vendors, and carriers, Associates are responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, storage, and documentation of goods — ensuring that all activities meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Outbound Shipping

  • Pull and prepare products for shipment according to order specifications
  • Verify shipping information for accuracy prior to dispatch
  • Prepare and process all required shipping documentation
  • Coordinate and arrange transportation with carriers
  • Track shipments through to final destination and resolve any issues

Incoming Receiving

  • Inspect incoming shipments and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders
  • Document and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages
  • Coordinate with internal departments to route received goods appropriately

Inventory & Facility

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and recordkeeping
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely
  • Organize and store goods within the facility in designated locations

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety precautions and industry standards at all times
  • Handle chemicals in accordance with safety protocols and ensure safe transportation
  • Complete and maintain all mandatory documentation for regulated materials

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Collaborative team player who works well across departments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks preferred

 

TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

 

All production employees receive paid training. Continued employment is conditional upon the successful completion of all mandatory training within the probationary period. This position begins as a temporary role with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment based on performance.
