POSITION OVERVIEW
Shipping/Receiving Associates play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our facility. Working closely with internal departments, outside vendors, and carriers, Associates are responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, storage, and documentation of goods — ensuring that all activities meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outbound Shipping
- Pull and prepare products for shipment according to order specifications
- Verify shipping information for accuracy prior to dispatch
- Prepare and process all required shipping documentation
- Coordinate and arrange transportation with carriers
- Track shipments through to final destination and resolve any issues
Incoming Receiving
- Inspect incoming shipments and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders
- Document and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages
- Coordinate with internal departments to route received goods appropriately
Inventory & Facility
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and recordkeeping
- Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely
- Organize and store goods within the facility in designated locations
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety precautions and industry standards at all times
- Handle chemicals in accordance with safety protocols and ensure safe transportation
- Complete and maintain all mandatory documentation for regulated materials
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Collaborative team player who works well across departments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks preferred
TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
All production employees receive paid training. Continued employment is conditional upon the successful completion of all mandatory training within the probationary period. This position begins as a temporary role with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment based on performance.
