Industrial Painter
Location: Riverside, MI
Position Type: Full-Time, Evaluation Hire
Pay/Salary: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Responsibilities/Duties
- Inspects item to be painted for proper welds. Removes weld spatter, over-poured refractory, excess weld, sharp edges and burrs using a variety of tools including wire wheel, air chisel, electric grinder, or file.
- Applies primer coat and checks for drips, runs, and evidence of gouges after drying. Primer runs are tacked or buffed out if possible.
- Paints product according to paint specifications. Drips and runs are tacked out.
Qualifications
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to accurately measure with a tape measure and square to 1/32" and convert decimals to fractions.
