2nd Shift Paint Line Supervisor
Location: Cassopolis, MI
Hourly Pay: $22/hr
Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating days off, every Sunday off. Must be willing to Train on 1st shift for a few months and then move to the Afternoon/Evening Shift.

Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled Paint Line Supervisor to oversee the second shift. The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that paint/finish operations meet safety, quality, and production targets. This role involves leading a team, managing workflow, monitoring equipment/processes, and coordinating with other departments (fabrication, maintenance, quality) to ensure excellent output.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all activities on the paint/finish line during 2nd shift.
- Lead, train, mentor, and schedule team members to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor coating processes (e.g. powder coating, wet paint, or similar) to ensure proper application, adhesion, finish quality, and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company protocols.
- Troubleshoot equipment/process issues; work with maintenance to resolve problems minimizing downtime.
- Maintain production metrics: meet throughput, yield, scrap rates, rework, and delivery targets.
- Keep accurate shift logs, reports, and documentation of quality or safety incidents.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in painting/finishing or related surface treatment operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of paint/finish line operations (paint/wet spray, powder coating, drying/curing, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (quality, maintenance, fabrication).
- Problem solving mindset; ability to act decisively under pressure and maintain high standards.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work the 12-hour shift schedule and rotating days off.
