Roofing Sales Consultant
Location: Saint Joseph, MI
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay/Salary: Base Salary plus Commission - 1st year earning between $65,000-$100,000
The Sales Mission is to work in the field running company leads, referrals, prospecting and cold calling, performing property inspections, meeting insurance adjusters, writing and providing estimates, and formally contracting the job to generate sales and contracted revenue for the company.
The Sales role is broken into 3 areas:
Phase 1 – Prospecting and canvassing, cold calling, selling, performing property inspections, providing minor temporary countermeasures, assisting property owners in the insurance claim process after storms and or catastrophic events.
Phase 2 - Meeting insurance adjusters and/or realtors, scoping the project, creating a formal outline that details work and damages with the insurance company, and formally contracting the job with property owners.
Phase 3 - Estimating and supplementing a variety of advanced roofing systems, and how to sell and estimate other relevant exterior trades (skylights, gutters, siding, and windows). Communicating with the property owner throughout the project. Assisting the company in the collection of any progress payments, and/or final checks from the property owner.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information, changes, feedback on customers, leads and other relevant information to the company, the company CRM, Sales and Project Managers, Field Trainers, and the Owners
- Participate in company safety meetings, sales meetings, or training meetings to advance any necessary learning/training to improve as a Sales Consultant
- Keep Production and Accounts Receivable Departments aware of any changes in jobs, or customer demands, change orders, or other pertinent information
- Ensure jobs sold achieve a minimum acceptable gross profit margin
- Effectively and efficiently operate the Company drone with a current FAA Drone License
- Goal within the first 2 years - Achieve a minimum of $100,000 in monthly contracted sales that would equate to approximately $1M in revenue in a calendar year. This would be our goal, target, and quest of each industry sales consultant
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Climbing a ladder to complete inspections

Work Environment:
Sales Consultant role will be responsible for a variety of both on-site projects and office-related tasks. This role will report directly to Ownership.
Position Type/Expected hours worked:
This is a full-time position; some on-site projects are likely to require early mornings and late afternoons beyond a typical ‘9 to 5’ job. Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance is required.
Compensation and Perks:
- Compensation will be contingent upon the candidate’s experience (base + commission, total compensation can range up to $80,000 to $100,000+ in the first year)
