Marine Service Coordinator (Customer Care & Parts Advisor)

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Marine Service Coordinator on behalf of a well-established boat sales and repair facility in Grand Rapids, MN, right in the heart of Minnesota’s lake country. As the friendly face at the front desk, you’ll assist fellow boating enthusiasts with service requests and boat parts inquiries, all while keeping operations professional, organized, and efficient. This full-time role (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with occasional weekends) offers $20/hour and a chance to work in a fun, outdoors-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for customers seeking boat repair or maintenance, both in person and over the phone.

Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, and document detailed service requests.

Provide estimates and clearly explain recommended services or repairs in friendly terms.

Coordinate service schedules with marine technicians to prioritize jobs and ensure timely completion.

Handle boat parts inquiries and sales, helping customers find the right parts and accessories.

Maintain work orders and service records, processing invoices and warranty claims accurately.

Communicate updates to customers regarding repair status and completion timelines.

Keep the front desk and showroom area organized and professional, creating a welcoming environment.
Qualifications & Skills

Customer service experience (required). Experience as a Service Writer/Advisor in a marine, automotive, powersports, or similar industry is a strong plus.

Excellent communication skills – you are friendly, patient, and confident interacting with customers in person and on the phone.

Strong organizational abilities to juggle scheduling, paperwork, and parts inquiries without missing a beat.

Comfortable with computers for email, invoicing, and scheduling; experience with service or inventory management systems is helpful.

Knowledge of boats/marine equipment or a mechanical aptitude is a bonus. If you can “talk shop” about fishing or boating, it will help you connect with customers!
