CDL Class A Grapple Truck Driver
Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire a CDL Class A Driver to join a growing logging operation in Park Rapids, MN. This role is responsible for safely operating a grapple truck to load, haul, and unload logs from logging sites to a local area. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, running equipment, and being part of a hard-working team.
This is a seasonal position that will last through the logging season, starting at $25.00/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a CDL-A grapple truck to load, transport, and unload logs
- Use hydraulic grapple and boom controls to safely handle timber
- Transport logs safely and efficiently
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and equipment
- Secure loads and follow DOT and logging safety standards
- Work around active logging equipment and rough terrain
- Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Complete daily logs, tickets, and inspection reports
- Communicate with dispatch, loggers, and mill personnel
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL, no restrictions, and clean driving record
- Experience operating a grapple truck, log truck, or heavy equipment preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment multiple times per day
- Ability to lift chains and perform light maintenance
