Process Technician / Apprentice

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Process Technicians and Apprentices for a well-established local manufacturer with immediate openings!
This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. You'll work in a modern manufacturing environment featuring advanced technology and production equipment.
Whether you have previous manufacturing experience or are looking to further develop your technical skills, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and adjust extrusion equipment to maintain smooth and efficient production
- Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure, timing, and material flow
- Identify production issues, troubleshoot equipment and process concerns, and make necessary adjustments
- Evaluate production processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and product quality
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and process adjustments
- Work independently, prioritize daily responsibilities, and help keep production running efficiently
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with manufacturing equipment
- At least one year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations, including percentages
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions, production specifications, and other work-related documents
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing production needs
