Accounts Payable Specialist
$25 - 28/hour

This position is responsible for managing a company’s outgoing cash flow, ensuring all vendor invoices, employee expenses, and payments are processed accurately, approved, and paid in a timely manner. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the month-end closing process.
Accurately processing 100+ invoices per day!
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Invoice Processing: Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system. Accurately processing 100% invoices per day.
- Payment Execution: Prepare weekly payment batches, including check runs, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues. Making sure P.O.s are correct and contacting suppliers to resolve any discrepancies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital or paper files of invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary contact for vendors to resolve payment inquiries and reconcile statement discrepancies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 2–5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables), and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Deltek).
- Technical Skills: High level of accuracy in data entry and strong numerical skills.
