Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Location: St. Paul, MN 55114
Schedule: First Shift (Daytime Hours)
Pay: $28 – $40 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in St. Paul. This is a full-time, first-shift position offering competitive pay, a stable work environment, and opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on diesel repair and maintenance experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, engines, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to perform repairs efficiently.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of diesel mechanic experience (truck, bus, or heavy equipment).
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Must have own set of mechanic tools.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various positions/environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certifications or equivalent training.
- Welding/fabrication experience.
