Carpet / Flooring Technician
Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a finding a qualified Carpet and Flooring Technician. Position is located in East Minneapolis.
Pay: $20-24/hour DOE
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities include:
· Install, repair, and replace carpet, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile flooring
· Perform floor preparation such as removing old materials, leveling surfaces, and cleaning work areas
· Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials to specifications
· Repair damaged floors, seams, and transitions
· Assist with subfloor repair, baseboard installation, and minor carpentry as needed
· Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
· Ensure all work meets company standards and customer satisfaction
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members
Skills & Requirements:
· 2+ years of experience in flooring installation and/or repair (carpet, vinyl, laminate, or hardwood preferred)
· Strong handyman or general maintenance background
· Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
· Knowledge of tools, adhesives, and installation techniques
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Excellent time management and customer service abilities
