Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Equipment Mechanic Helper to assist with the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. This role supports mechanics and technicians by preparing tools, performing basic mechanical tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Gather tools, parts, and supplies needed for repair tasks
- Clean and prepare parts and equipment for reassembly
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move parts and tools (if certified)
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues to lead mechanics or supervisors
- Assist in inventory control of parts and tools
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Mechanical aptitude or prior experience assisting with equipment repair is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license (if required for the position)
