Quality Control Manager – Manufacturing Company

Position Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Manager oversees all quality assurance and quality control processes within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. The QC Manager leads the quality team, develops inspection protocols, manages compliance documentation, and works cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Oversee daily product inspections, testing activities, and audit processes.
  • Ensure all raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods meet quality requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, or other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare reports on quality metrics, trends, and performance for senior management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and train quality technicians, inspectors, and analysts.
  • Establish clear quality objectives and monitor team performance.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D departments to address quality concerns.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet required specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers on quality audits and corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, root-cause analysis, CAPA, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and quality management software is a plus.
