Apprentice Water Technician

Position Summary
A local utility provider is seeking an Apprentice Water Technician to assist with the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of water distribution and treatment systems. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and career development opportunities within the water utility industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance and repair of water distribution systems.
- Help inspect water lines, valves, hydrants, and related equipment.
- Support water quality monitoring and testing activities.
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
- Respond to service calls and assist with emergency repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in water utility operations.

- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
