Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Test system performance and verify proper operation after repairs or installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance needs to customers in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory documentation.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations related to HVAC work and safety standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean and professional condition.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- HVAC service or installation experience.
- Valid Class E Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred
- HVAC certification from a technical training program.
- NATE Certification.
- Experience with residential and light commercial systems.
- Knowledge of smart thermostats and HVAC control systems.
