Job Full Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of all manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery, including [list examples, e.g., "CNC machines," "automated assembly lines," "robotics," "packaging equipment," "injection molding machines," "conveyor systems," "welders," "presses"].
- Reactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and perform effective repairs to restore machinery to operational status quickly.
- Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits, motors (single and three-phase), VFDs, PLCs sensors, and associated wiring up to 480V. Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Mechanical Systems: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components such as gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pumps, and precision motion systems.
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and motors. Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Equipment Installation & Optimization: Assist in the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment. Participate in calibration and optimization efforts to improve machine performance and product quality.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct thorough root cause analysis of equipment failures to implement sustainable solutions and prevent recurring issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, confined space, hot work), OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) where applicable. Identify and report safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong understanding of PLC logic and troubleshooting (ability to read and interpret ladder logic is essential).
- Experience with various hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS software.
