Job Full Description
Position Summary
This position is with one of our clients, at their Pacific, MO plant; Express is recruiting on their behalf. The Quality Control Inspector processes samples brought to the lab and records the results in the company database.
This is a part-time night position of about 20 hours a week. Fridays are set, with the other shifts falling on some Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays, so flexibility with the schedule is a must.

Key Responsibilities
- Take in samples brought to the lab and process them.
- Record results and data in the computer database.
- Use a computer and small hand tools to complete testing.
- Flag anything out of spec to the supervisor.
- Keep the lab area clean and follow all client safety and PPE rules.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED. College students are welcome to apply.
- Basic computer skills and comfort working in a database.
- Strong attention to detail; a quick learner who adapts well.
- QC experience is preferred.
- Knowledge, experience or interest in geology, science or a related field is a plus.
- Able to work nights and stay flexible with the schedule.
- Reliable attendance. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Conditions and Pay
- Lab and plant setting; no travel and no direct reports.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb steps and bend throughout the shift.
- Equipment used: computer and small hand tools.
- Suits someone who likes routine, repetitive work.
- $21 per hour, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., about 20 hours per week.
