Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturing shop in Missoula, MT that is looking for a skilled Shop Worker! We’re seeking someone reliable, detail-oriented, and hands-on to help with production, machine operation, and material handling in a fast-paced shop environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Read blueprints and work orders to understand job requirements
Set up and operate plastic molding and cutting machines
Load materials into machines and start equipment
Monitor machines and make adjustments as needed
Measure parts using tools like calipers and micrometers
Inspect parts for defects and quality issues
Remove finished parts from machines and trim excess material
Install and change molds, dies, and tools
Cool and label finished products
Keep machines and work areas clean and safe
Record basic production data
Wear required safety and respiratory equipment
Equipment Used
- Measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, rulers)
- Hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers)
- Power tools (saws, drills, grinders, presses, sanders, lathes, cutters)
- Urethane oven
- Carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist height
- Lift up to 30 lbs overhead
- Carry up to 100 lbs for short distances
- Push and pull heavy carts and materials
- Work at heights up to 70 inches
- Stand and walk throughout the day on different surfaces
- Use strong hand grip for tools and materials
- Bend, reach, and move in all directions
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
