Position Overview

The Life & Ancillary Product Sales Agent works directly with individuals and families to provide life insurance and ancillary products that support long-term financial security. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a service-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Present and sell life insurance and ancillary products such as dental, vision, disability, and supplemental coverage
  • Educate clients on coverage options, policy features, and long-term value
  • Generate new business through referrals, networking, community involvement, and outbound prospecting
  • Conduct client meetings in person, by phone, or virtually
  • Guide clients through applications and underwriting processes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Follow up consistently with leads and existing clients
  • Stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and compliance requirements
  • Use CRM systems to manage client interactions, sales activity, and documentation
  • Participate in marketing events, seminars, and community outreach (occasional evenings or weekends)
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and support teams to ensure a positive client experience
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
  • Support increased workload during the Annual Enrollment Period (October–December), including extended hours as needed
  • Provide cross-functional support to Licensed Client Advocates (LCAs), including assisting Medicare and health insurance clients during peak periods

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience preferred (insurance, financial services, or related field strongly desired)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with CRM systems
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain required Life & Health insurance licenses (training available)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business or related field a plus
