Job Full Description
We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Shipment Receiving position for a pool supply company located in Tonawanda, NY.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm and rotating Sundays 9am – 5pm during peak times
Payrate: $18.00/hr
Responsibilities will include:
- Unload trucks and other deliveries using forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment.
- Receive product into our system by scanning and comparing packing slips to received inventory.
- Document discrepancies via inventory issue log.
- Obtain weights and dimensions for new products.
- Print UPC codes and label the products.
- Stage product in lanes as it is being unloaded.
- Break down pallets.
- Monitor receiving area equipment and work area for effective, clean, and safe operations.
- Complete the checklist for pallet jacks and reach trucks daily to ensure they are in good working order.
- Report issues to the maintenance team.
- Continually monitor product bins and replenish as needed.
- Ensure products are labeled appropriately to avoid shipping a box of multiple products to a customer.
- Use First In – First Out methodology when replenishing bins.
Requirements:
- Certified in use of forklift
- Familiarity with computers
- Must be comfortable standing and walking continuously
- The ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs
- Prior material handling/ warehouse experience
Dress Code:
- Must wear close-toed shoes or work boots (no sandals or crocs)
- Casual but appropriate warehouse attire
