Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Tool Services Supervisor for an industrial equipment supplier in Tonawanda, NY!
Shift: Mon-Fri 10:30pm-11:00am
Payrate: $26/hr
Summary
This position will supervise 5-10 employees on tool setting/grinding operations. It will also involve maintaining tool delivery across all shifts. Work is technical and requires knowledge of manufacturing operations and the ability to make timely decisions.
Job Duties:
- Must be willing to work any assigned shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Support all cutting tool production by ensuring operators are trained, have appropriate certifications, and follow all GMS requirements
- Responsible for effective use of employees, material and equipment in tooling department
- Maintain standard and implement new safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with requirements
- Train new employees and develop/evaluate current
- Coordinate with other work groups as needed to solve problems
- Complete work assignments within budget and timing constraints
- Provide support to all manufacturing departments
- Provide customer service to internal and external clientele
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools preferred
- Experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing preferred
- High level of analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience in gauging and grinding equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time
