Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a hospitality snack supplier located in Buffalo, NY 14214. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits once hired on!
Payrate: $18.00-20.00/hr based on experience
Hours: Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:30pm, Fri 9:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all outgoing domestic and international shipments
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Determine if orders are to ship Parcel or LTL based on specific criteria
- Monitor weather and transit times for heat sensitive shipments
- Quote and schedule all incoming & outgoing shipments with carriers
- Process all parcel and pallet shipments
- Input freight details to spreadsheet
- Create and track claims and billing discrepancies with carriers
- Communicate effectively with Purchasing, Production and Management to meet daily goals
- Maintain inventory monitor, rotate, and log inventory
- Maintain Workspace and Warehouse Space
- Assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven 1-3 years previous warehouse and shipping experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor following safety policies
- Competent computer skills: Microsoft Office experience a plus
- UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager experience a plus
- Good time management, organized, quick thinking, high attention to detail and multi-tasking is a MUST
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 60 LBS
