Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an In-House Repair Technician for a local manufacturing company that specializes in quality, esthetic dentistry located in Amherst, NY.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Payrate: $21-23/hr BOE
Position Overview
The Repair Associate is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing equipment, performing basic functional tests on customer and loaner devices, and supporting logistics within the repair workflow. This role requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Autonomously handle the dispatch and transport of customer care deliveries for both in-house and field repair streams.
- Manage the receipt, unpacking, and verification of devices against customer documentation or system records.
- Maintain precise, process-compliant records and updates in systems like Salesforce to track transaction status.
- Perform functional and safety-relevant tests on equipment during both the goods receipt and final outbound delivery phases.
- Organize and transport goods to designated repair or storage locations and conduct periodic inventories of loaner equipment.
- Commission and pack equipment according to specific guidelines and coordinate handovers with forwarding companies.
- Facilitate inter-departmental information flow and report any shipment irregularities using photos or formal documentation.
- Initiate sub-processes within CRM systems and participate in shopfloor meetings to ensure operational transparency.
- Contribute to the development of customer care methods and identify opportunities for product or packaging enhancements (CIP).
- Assist in customer care implementations and participate in specialized projects as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, and/or manufacturing
- Experience performing equipment testing
- Experience with basic hand tools required
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours and move throughout facility as needed
