Job Title: Class B Driver – Sanitation
Location: Jacksonville, NC
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a dependable Class B Driver – Sanitation to operate side loader and front loader garbage trucks. This is a physically demanding role that requires both safe driving and hands-on labor. If you're a team player who values steady work and a consistent paycheck, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate side loader/front loader sanitation trucks safely and efficiently
- Exit the vehicle to retrieve, dump, and return garbage totes
- Transport waste to the landfill and properly unload the truck
- Adhere to safety and operational procedures at all times
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more with assistance
- Comfortable with physical labor, including bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and drive for long durations
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Class B or Class A commercial driving experience required
- Must have a valid CDL (Class B or A)
- Background checks reviewed on a case-by-case basis
