Job Title: Trust Accounting Specialist
Location: New Bern, NC
Pay: $22–$25/hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Trust Accounting Specialist to join our team in New Bern, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, balancing accounts monthly, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance and reconcile financial accounts on a monthly basis
- Act as a liason with billing attorneys to keep accounts current and close accounts as needed
- Coordinate wire transfers
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Assist with general accounting duties and data entry
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support financial operations
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
Required Skills & Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and teamwork attitude
- Proficiency in general office procedures and accounting practices
- Competent in computer systems and ten-key operation
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is highly desirable
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred
- Computer, ten-key proficiency
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
