Sorting Associate (3rd Shift)

Shift: 3rd Shift
Pay: $16.60 per hour
Overtime: As needed

Job Summary

Express Employment is seeking a dependable Sorting Associate for a 3rd shift manufacturing position in Saint Marys, Ohio. This role is responsible for inspecting parts for quality defects, sorting materials, and ensuring production standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for visual defects and quality concerns according to established standards.
• Sort, organize, and move materials using pallet jacks and designated workstations.
• Transfer containers of parts between pallets and sorting tables throughout the production process.
• Complete required paperwork and electronic production updates accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area while following company, OSHA, and safety requirements.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and customers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to identify defective parts through visual inspection.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Comfortable using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, twisting, turning, and material handling.
• Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to noise, oils, chemicals, and a partially climate-controlled setting.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks during extended shifts.
