Shift: Day Shift or Night Shift (Rotating 12-Hour Schedule)
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
Overtime: Optional

Job Summary

Express Employment is seeking a Downstream Technician to support packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating automated packaging equipment, performing basic equipment maintenance, conducting quality checks, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging equipment, including case packers, conveyor systems, and labeling machines.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Follow material requirements and customer specifications to ensure accurate product packaging and order fulfillment.
• Conduct quality inspections on packaging, labels, and finished products to maintain quality standards.
• Document production information, including material usage, corrugate losses, and scrap reduction efforts.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to department goals related to quality, safety, and operational performance.

• Basic computer skills for accurate production documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and safely operate production equipment.
