Automotive Service Technician / Auto Mechanic

Location: Sidney, OH
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Overtime: Saturday hours as needed, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Job Summary

Express Employment is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician / Auto Mechanic for a full-time opportunity in Sidney, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship in a professional automotive service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles of all makes and models.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, steering, and suspension systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.
• Communicate repair findings with management and service staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and service standards.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of engines, brakes, transmissions, steering, and suspension systems.
• ASE Certification preferred or a minimum of 10 years of automotive repair experience.
• Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move automotive parts, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with occasional outdoor exposure when moving vehicles.
• Ability to perform repetitive repair and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
