Material Handler - Forklift Operator
Location: Lima, OH
Shift: Day Shift (5:00 AM - 5:10 PM) or Night Shift (5:00 PM - 5:10 AM), Rotating 12-Hour Schedule
Pay: $17.25 per hour + $1.25/hour night shift differential
Overtime: Optional
Job Summary
Express Employment is seeking a Material Handler - Forklift Operator for a manufacturing and warehouse environment in Lima, Ohio. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and material handling equipment, supporting production operations, inspecting products for quality, and ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, tow motors, floor jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Complete daily work assignments according to production and supervisor requirements.
- Transport materials and products throughout warehouse and production areas.
- Inspect products for defects, contamination, and discoloration to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot basic production and equipment issues and report concerns as needed.
- Collect resin samples from rail cars and bulk trucks while following safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment with production schedules and goals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
