Design Engineering Intern

Job Summary

Express Employment is seeking a Design Engineering Intern to support custom product design and production processes in a manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a college student looking to gain hands-on experience with SolidWorks, artwork development, and silkscreen design while building practical engineering and design skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Create customer artwork proofs by converting provided images into custom mudflap designs.
• Scan completed products and develop silkscreen layouts and production-ready designs.
• Utilize SolidWorks to assist with design-related projects and product development activities.
• Review artwork and design files for accuracy and quality prior to production.
• Support manufacturing and design teams with documentation and project-related tasks.
• Assist with additional engineering or design projects as experience and skills develop.

Required Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
