Responsibilities:

Operate hand-held torches, grinders, and other technical implements to assemble or repair metal components.
Read and interpret schematics to determine the configuration and specification of structures.
Use measuring tools like combination squares, straightedges, and calipers to lay out and align work pieces.
Prepare materials for welding by cleaning metal surfaces using scrapers and grinders.
Inspect welding equipment prior to welding to ensure all cable connections are tightly fitted and free of fraying.
Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting settings for optimal performance.
Perform welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
Conduct tests to assess weld quality and conformance to specifications.

Perform Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding operations to join metals, alloys, or other materials.
Handle various welding projects in construction, aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, and more.
Apply TIG welding techniques to produce extremely strong joints on structures such as bridges, automotive bodies, and building frameworks.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, adjusting settings for optimal performance.
Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Conduct tests to assess weld quality and conformance to specifications.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in TIG welding techniques.
Physical dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in various positions.
