Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Custodian for a local campus. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards in college buildings and facilities. This role ensures that classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and presentable for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Essential Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.

Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.

Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners as needed.

Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

Refill supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Follow proper cleaning and sanitation protocols, including the use of PPE.

Perform deep cleaning during scheduled breaks or as directed.
Pay: $13.00/HR
Schedule: 6:00AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday ; Rotating Weekends
Requirements

Prior custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.

Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, vacuums).

Understanding of safety and sanitation practices.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods.

Good time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
