Express Employment is seeking an AR Clerk for a local client. The AR Clerk is responsible for providing customer service and performing data entry related to financial transactions. This role reviews and processes purchase orders, sales tickets, charge slips, and payment documentation. The AR Clerk accurately processes payments, maintains records, and ensures confidentiality while supporting daily accounting operations.

Assist customers by providing information and resolving inquiries or complaints

Review documents such as purchase orders, sales tickets, and charge slips to compute and process charges

Receive and process payments via cash, check, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits

Post charges to customer accounts and record transactions accurately

Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change due to customers

Calculate, reconcile, and balance payments received against total sales

Maintain periodic balance sheets and transaction logs

Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records

Count and reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts

Sort, count, and wrap currency and coin

Monitor checkout stations to ensure adequate staffing and cash availability

Process merchandise returns and exchanges

Request assistance or information using paging or internal communication systems

Greet customers entering the establishment and maintain a professional presence

Maintain clean and orderly checkout and work areas, including general cleaning duties as needed
