Plastics Material Operator
Pay: $25.00 / hour
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Plastics Material Operator to support manufacturing production by managing raw materials across multiple machines in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring proper material flow, inventory accuracy, and production readiness across approximately 17 machines. The ideal candidate is self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently while supporting a strong team-oriented production environment.
Before You Apply - Qualified Applicants Should Have:
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or production experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 40 lbs consistently
- Comfortable using ladders and step stools in a production environment
- Strong basic math skills for measuring and tracking materials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply production machines with correct raw materials to ensure continuous operation
- Weigh, inspect, and track material usage for quality and quantity standards
- Maintain accurate daily inventory and communicate reorder needs
- Perform routine checks on machines, dryers, and production schedules
- Stage materials for next-day production based on schedule requirements
- Retrieve, organize, and deliver raw materials from storage areas
- Assign correct materials to mixers and dryers per job requirements
- Blend and mix materials following work instructions and FIFO standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing outdated materials
- Support Machine Operators and Set-Up Technicians as needed
- Track inventory and production data using Microsoft Excel and computer systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production procedures
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to multitask across multiple machines and priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 lbs
- Use of ladders and step stools to access machines and materials
- Continuous movement across production floor in a fast-paced environment
