Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Primary Purpose:
To ensure that all products meet established quality standards and customer requirements through inspection, testing, documentation, and communication of quality-related findings throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits. The amount of time performing each function may vary day-to-day. All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the company policies and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.
- Identify quality issues with parts and promptly communicate findings to machine operators, lead personnel, and/or programmers.
- Inspect first-piece parts, in-process work, and completed production parts from previous shifts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Inspect parts staged and ready for plating, coating, or other secondary operations.
- Perform spot inspections of in-process parts across multiple machines and production areas.
- Verify and calibrate inspection tools daily using established standards.
- Conduct first article inspections and compare products against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Complete first article inspection reports for both internal documentation and customer requirements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Verify nonconforming material is properly identified, segregated, and reported.
- Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to quality concerns.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Perform additional machining, production, or support tasks as assigned to meet workflow demands and production objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T is preferred.
- Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and quality documentation systems.

Working Environment:
This position works primarily within a manufacturing and fabrication environment. Responsibilities include inspecting parts and products throughout the production process, utilizing precision measuring equipment, reviewing documentation, and communicating quality-related findings with production personnel. The position requires frequent movement throughout the production floor and exposure to machinery, noise, and manufacturing processes. Job Related Physical Demands:
- Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner while wearing appropriate and required personal protective equipment. Follow all safety regulations and protocols. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of proper body mechanic/ergonomics and use correct body position/mechanics, tools, or work aids to work, move, maneuver, guide, or place objects or materials.
- Maintain sufficient and consistent mobility and agility to respond to issues, hazards, safety concerns, workplace disruptions, and emergencies involving tools, equipment, other team members, and guests.
- Operate precision measuring equipment, inspection instruments, quality documentation systems, and standard computer applications with accuracy and independent judgment.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver materials, tooling, and components up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs regularly, including standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift in a temperature‑controlled shop.
