Industrial PLC Technician – Maintenance Electrician (Full-Time)
1st Shift | Leola, PA | $35 - $40 DOE
About the Role
We’re hiring an experienced Industrial PLC Technician / Maintenance Electrician to support our manufacturing facility with electrical, electronic, and automation system troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades. This role focuses on PLC programming, industrial automation, and electrical maintenance of equipment and plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

Write and edit advanced A/B logic programs

Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, PLCs, and associated components

Design, assemble, and wire control panels with user interface systems

Maintain and service industrial switchgear, drives, motors, and power transmission systems

Analyze equipment for automation and PLC control upgrades
-
Troubleshoot and program motor drives and VFDs
-
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production machinery
-
Maintain logs and documentation on barrel/screw changes, history, and throughput
-
Collaborate with plant electricians to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues

Identify when a job exceeds skill level and request support when needed

Perform other tasks as assigned by the maintenance or engineering teams
Qualifications
-
Associate degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field

OR equivalent certifications/training in:
-
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial electronics, automation systems, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills
-
Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLC systems

Knowledge of motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HMIs
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
-
Familiar with control panel design and wiring
-
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, reach, use hands/fingers, and lift up to 50 lbs

Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb

Vision requirements include: close, distance, peripheral, color, and ability to focus
