Operations Manager – Landscaping & Snow Removal Services
First Shift with flexibility during weather events | 50k to 65k DOE | Lancaster and surrounding area
About the Role:
We’re seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our landscaping and snow removal services. This is a leadership role that requires a sharp focus on team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in managing budgets, scheduling crews, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring seamless service delivery across all properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations for both landscaping and snow removal services

Ensure all work orders, schedules, and job sites are completed on time and within budget

Monitor and control operational expenses and stay aligned with company budget

Enforce and improve company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires
-
Lead and motivate crew members to deliver high-quality service

Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance records; ensure all assets are safe and operational

Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring OSHA, FLSA, and ADA compliance
-
Assist General Manager with staff scheduling and operations planning
-
Approve employee timesheets and handle payroll questions weekly
-
Provide administrative support, including data entry, operations reporting, and analysis
-
Coordinate snow removal site coverage, especially during peak seasonal events
-
Serve as primary point of contact for customer communications and issue resolution
-
Help resolve internal issues such as employee relations, productivity, or safety concerns
-
Suggest process improvements and strategies for increasing efficiency and profitability
-
Communicate effectively with all teams — management, sales, and field crews

Perform other operational duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Horticulture, Turf Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience

3–5 years of management experience, preferably in landscaping, snow removal, or facilities maintenance

Proven experience in operations management, team leadership, and project scheduling

Strong knowledge of business operations, budgeting, and cost control

Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite) or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Experience using business or workforce management software for payroll, scheduling, and invoicing
-
Ability to create and manage invoices, oversee billing, and ensure client satisfaction

Comfortable working on-call during snow/ice events or after-hours emergencies
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed
Preferred Skills:

Experience in landscape or snow removal operations

Working knowledge of OSHA safety protocols

Familiarity with mobile crew dispatch tools, GPS tracking, or scheduling apps

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
