Account Representative – Customer Service & Sales Support (Full-Time)

Lititz, PA | $23 - $24/hr DOE

We are seeking a motivated Account Representative to join our dynamic team. In this key position, you'll be the primary point of contact for our manufacturing customers, supporting sales, solving problems, and ensuring a top-tier customer experience from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Relationship Management (30%)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all client inquiries via phone, email, or in person

  • Deliver prompt, professional service to address customer questions, product information, order status, and complaints

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to exceed expectations and drive repeat business

Quoting, Estimating & Order Processing (25%)

  • Submit and process customer orders using pricing lists and product literature

  • Generate estimates and formal quotes using technical documentation, blueprints, and product specifications

  • Support the Sales team by preparing proposals and providing pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules

Technical Product Support (10%)

  • Provide basic technical guidance to customers, including installation support for door hardware such as locks, door closers, panic devices, and more

  • Assist customers with common troubleshooting questions and product applications

Issue Resolution & Complaint Handling (10%)

  • Investigate and assess the validity of complaints; determine cause and offer timely resolution

  • Coordinate with internal departments for escalations and unresolved issues

Special Orders & Product Research (5%)

  • Research specialty or custom product requests in coordination with procurement and outside sales staff

Order Tracking & Documentation (5%)

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and service requests

  • Track orders to ensure accurate and on-time delivery

Returns & Disputes (5%)

  • Prepare RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) by comparing incoming returns or complaints with original orders

Sales Support Materials (5%)

  • Write or edit internal and external communications such as customer notices, sales sheets, and reference materials

Training & Development (5%)

  • Stay up to date on product knowledge and industry trends through workshops, professional reading, and networking


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of customer service, inside sales, or account management experience required

  • Background in manufacturing, hardware, or distribution preferred

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)


Work Environment
