Inventory Control Specialist
Pay: $28.00 | Monday to Friday 3:00p to 11:30p | Leola, PA
Join our growing warehouse and supply chain team as an Inventory Control Specialist. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse distribution operations, and collaborating across departments to ensure efficient logistics and inventory planning. This role is critical to maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing shrinkage and markdowns, helping us drive profitability and product availability across all stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and resolve store claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Analyze store sales trends to validate claims and support inventory accuracy.
- Compare and reconcile DC inventory data against SAP inventory reports; investigate and correct discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage products approaching expiration dates in the warehouse.
- Coordinate logistics and storage for offsite inventory locations.
- Lead communication on inventory levels, replenishment, and product distributions across all retail locations.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Planning, Purchasing, Stores, Distribution Center, SOX, and other departments.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings and contribute to distribution strategy discussions.
- Present data-driven insights and reports to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Support buyers with proactive updates on inventory challenges or code date concerns.
- Conduct site visits to stores and warehouse locations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support supply chain and warehouse functions.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ years of inventory control experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics setting.
- Proficient in inventory analysis, data interpretation, and problem-solving.
- Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions and adapt quickly.
- Resourceful, results-driven, and committed to process improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as scanning and inspecting products.
- Requires hand-eye coordination in a warehouse setting.
