Engineer I | Lancaster, PA | 1st - $48-57.00

We’re looking for a driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering Team in Lancaster, PA. This role is key to improving and supporting molding and assembly processes, mold tooling, die tooling, stitching, and automation systems.

You'll lead initiatives to optimize quality, cost, and output in support of product development, production efficiency, and business growth. You’ll also play a pivotal role in process standardization, data management, cost modeling, and capacity planning.

Must be local or in commutible distance to Lancaster, PA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support large-scale migration projects and engineering change management in SAP.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and process routings in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Perform time studies, identify cost drivers, and recommend process/tooling improvements.
  • Build and maintain cost models in alignment with financial and operational assumptions.
  • Partner with finance and IE teams to ensure accurate costing and capacity forecasting.
  • Develop manufacturing capacity plans for new product development (NPD).
  • Propose and manage capital equipment plans for NPD and future production needs.
  • Drive lean initiatives, utilizing value stream mapping to align with customer-focused outcomes.
  • Collaborate across departments to support integrated value stream improvement.
  • Travel between multiple sites as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering preffered.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, and industrial engineering
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficient with SAP, MS Office (especially Excel), and statistical tools
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and effective in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with low-volume/high-mix manufacturing or military/aerospace products is a plus.
