Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Lead end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.

Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive measurable cost savings.

Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, evaluating performance through key metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely fulfillment of materials and services.

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and align procurement strategies with production and business needs.

Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing decisions and ensure business continuity.

Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements, to optimize procurement performance.

Provide guidance and mentorship within the procurement function, fostering professional growth and best practices.

Prepare and present procurement reports and analysis to management for informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
(Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are an asset.)

Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

Demonstrated success in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
