Deli Food Service Worker

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to standardized recipes and portion controls
- Set up and break down food stations and dining areas, ensuring they are fully stocked and visually appealing
- Maintain food safety and sanitation by cleaning utensils, equipment, and workspaces; monitor food/drink temperatures
- Restock supplies, track inventory, and store food properly (date-labeling, FIFO, etc.)
- Interact with customers—take orders, answer questions, process payments using POS systems
- Handle cash accurately and escalate customer concerns to management
- Support cooks and kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous deli food service experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS/cash handling
- Physical stamina for standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays
