Express Employment Professionals is now hiring Tool & Die Makers for a well-established manufacturer in the Pittsburgh area. This is a hands-on role perfect for machinists who take pride in old-school craftsmanship, custom tool building, and precision work from raw material to finished part.

Job Responsibilities:

Build, repair, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures from start to finish

Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings

Operate manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and Haas CNC equipment

Machine and assemble components with tight tolerances and high-quality finishes

Select proper materials, perform heat-treating, and ensure dimensional accuracy

Collaborate with engineers and production leads to resolve tooling challenges

Maintain tools and equipment with an emphasis on reliability and precision
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; formal apprenticeship or tech school preferred

5+ years of Tool & Die or manual machining experience preferred
-
Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining methods

Comfortable working with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and surface plates
-
Ability to think critically and work independently on complex builds

Pride in craftsmanship and a solid track record in a manufacturing environment
