Job Full Description
We are currently looking for a qualified Jockey Driver for a company located in Hardeeville, SC.
Pay: $21.50/hr.
Schedule: M-F am-4:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Move trailers safely throughout the yard to designated loading and unloading areas
- Position trailers at dock doors for loading and unloading operations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers
- Verify trailer numbers and maintain accurate movement records
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and drivers to coordinate trailer movements
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized yard while supporting warehouse operations
- Assist with other yard or warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license required
- Current DOT Medical Card required
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT regulations
- Ability to safely operate yard trucks and tractor-trailers in a warehouse or distribution yard
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
