Job Posting QA Level 2 – Food Manufacturing
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 5am–Finish (overtime common)

Position Overview

Join our team as a QA Level 2 Technician in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong math skills, and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our products meet rigorous safety and quality requirements before reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Document Temperature Data:
Test and record temperature readings during product chilling and freezing processes to ensure compliance.
  • Operate Data Recorders:
Use automated equipment to log freezing temperatures accurately.
  • Product Sampling and Evaluation:
Sample, label, and log products for microbiological and post-freeze/thaw QA assessments.
  • Lab Coordination:
Assemble all sampled products from the previous day for laboratory pick-up.
  • General QA Duties:
Perform additional related tasks as assigned to support the QA team.

Tray / Cup Line Technician Duties

  • Weighing and Measuring:
Accurately weigh and measure products on tray, cup, or single-portion packaging lines.
  • Downtime Recording:
Document reasons and durations for any production downtime.
  • Sampling and Logging:
Conduct sampling, labeling, and logging for quality evaluations.
  • Quality Compliance:
Assist in maintaining product accuracy and adherence to quality standards.


Expected Results

  • Consistent Quality:
Ensure all outgoing food products meet established quality, size, and temperature standards.
  • Accurate Documentation:
Maintain thorough QA records and inspection routines.


Skills & Experience

  • Required Skills:
    • Strong math skills; proficient with calculators
    • Familiarity with industrial thermometers and temperature recording methods
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of QA experience (food manufacturing preferred)
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Comfortable working in varied temperatures (from subzero to over 100°F)
  • Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting, and overhead reaching
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on hard or wet floors
