Pipe Rehabilitation Technician – Skills & Experience Overview
candidates must have strong hands-on experience installing and rehabilitating sewer, water, and storm drain piping systems in accordance with project specifications. Their background includes:
Core Skills
• Installation of sewer, water, and storm drain utilities, including systems 6 inches and larger
• Skilled in pipe rehabilitation (not new construction)
• Experience operating and maintaining pipe lasers and related equipment
• Ability to assist with trenching, backfilling, grading, and site preparation
• Familiar with pipe bursting techniques (experience is a plus)
Strengths
• Works safely and efficiently in active utility environments
• Understands proper alignment, elevation, and grade requirements
• Reliable support for both installation and repair crews
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and variable site conditions
